"Breakthrough 2016 - The Future is Gender Equality”

For anyone who missed the "Breakthrough 2016 - The Future is Gender Equality” event last week - you missed out... Big Time!

I was personally in my element!  I met so many inspirational women; Tara Moss (Author & Presenter), Dure Dara OAM (Victorian Women's Trust Founder & Board Member), Kate Jenkins (Sex Discrimination Commissioner), Donna de Zwart (Social Justice Innovator), The Hon. Tanya Plibersek (Politician) and Rosie Battie (Domestic Violence Activist) - to name just a few! 

Each of the speakers and panel members shared with great passion their individual experiences, insights and inspiring 'calls to action'.  It was no wonder that the overwhelming feeling across this room of over 1000 attendees was that of a sense of responsibility for each and every one of us to contribute to ensuring that the (not too distant!) future, is that of equality. 

Congratulations! to all the organisers and volunteers - this was an outstanding production, and no doubt a mammoth task with so many Speakers and break-out sessions!
