At Ambition, we believe that Allyship, Belonging, and Inclusion (ABI) are not just aspirational ideals, but core pillars of our culture.

Our goal is to create a workplace where every individual feels seen, heard, and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work.

By fostering a culture of allyship, belonging and inclusion, we ensure equitable access to opportunities, enabling everyone to thrive and contribute to our collective success. ABI is essential for building stronger teams, driving innovation, and making The Ambition Group a place where everyone truly feels they belong.

This commitment is also central to our mission to Build Better Futures - for our people, our clients, our candidates, and the communities we serve. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment grounded in allyship and belonging, where every employee feels valued and supported.

Fairness is embedded in every aspect of our operations, from recruitment and development to decision-making and leadership opportunities.

We know that allyship, belonging, and inclusion are not only moral imperatives but also strategic strengths. Research consistently shows that inclusive teams are more innovative, make better decisions, and achieve stronger performance. Our commitment to ABI strengthens our ability to attract top talent, retain dedicated employees, and serve our diverse client base, while always staying true to our values and purpose.

To champion this mission, we established a global ABI Committee, dedicated to raising awareness and driving initiatives that strengthen allyship, belonging, and inclusion across Ambition.

What does the ABI committee do?

The ABI Committee is made up of passionate volunteers from across The Ambition Group who are committed to embedding allyship, belonging, and inclusion into everything we do, ensuring that ABI is not only a value we uphold, but a practice we live each day.

Their work spans from reviewing internal policies, such as maternity and paternity leave, adoption leave, shared parental leave and launching a menopause policy, to organising events and developing ideas that raise awareness and strengthen ABI across the business.

This year, the committee has been involved in a wide range of initiatives, including:

Internal Fireside Chats

We host fireside chats to create space for open conversations and to hear directly from our colleagues about the experiences that shape their personal and professional journeys.

Recent sessions have included:

  • PRIDE Fireside Chat – exploring identity, inclusion, and the power of authenticity.

  • Life as a Working Parent – focusing on the realities of balancing career ambitions with family life.

Upcoming sessions this year will cover topics such as social mobility and disability, continuing our commitment to fostering dialogue, awareness, and inclusion.

These conversations help us build empathy and awareness while celebrating diverse perspectives.

Mental Health First Aiders

We’re proud to have a number of trained Mental Health First Aiders across the business. Their training equips them to support wellbeing, recognise signs of distress, and provide a compassionate, listening ear. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering a safe, supportive, and open workplace for all.

Diversity & Inclusion Policy

Ambition recognises that, as a recruitment provider, we have a responsibility to ensure that both our external and internal hiring processes are as inclusive as possible.

We are committed to promoting equal opportunities and work closely with our clients to help attract a diverse candidate pool for their business. We strive to model best practice by being proactive in identifying and preventing discrimination, bias or other unfair treatment during the recruitment process.

We aim to achieve this through:

  • Regular consultations with external D&I trainers to educate ourselves on how we can eliminate discrimination in our recruitment processes both internally and externally.

  • Applying objective criteria to assess the suitability of a candidate for jobs we are recruiting on behalf of our clients.

  • Regular reviews of our activities, policies and practices and making amends where appropriate.

  • Continually working to improve diversity and inclusion in our workplace by proactively creating an inclusive environment and hiring a diverse workforce who are regularly trained on how to identify and prevent discrimination during the hiring process.

External Partnerships

We also partner with several external charities, including:

Unicef - Unicef are the United Nations Children’s Fund, they work in 190 countries across the globe and advocate the survival, protection and development of every child. Their focus is on the lives of children who are the most disadvantaged and excluded.

We are proud to have this partnership with Unicef as it strongly backs Ambition's tagline of “Building Better Futures”.

Thought Leadership

As part of our mission to raise awareness around Allyship, Belonging, and Inclusion, we regularly share blogs, articles, and thought-leadership pieces on these topics.
