Ambition Uncovered: Beacon Foundation

As part of our continued partnership with the Beacon Foundation, this week Ambition and AccountAbility greeted Year 10 students from Mortlake College in regional Western Victoria at our offices in Melbourne.

With a focus on providing real futures for young Australians, our partnership with Beacon invites students in to learn from our consultants about various aspects of job seeking and securing career opportunities in the future.

The ‘Ambition Uncovered’ day consisted of interactive workshops focusing on communication, personal branding in the employment market, resume writing and importantly preparing for job interviews. The workshops are designed to give students a better understanding of how to navigate the tricky world of corporate employment, as well as providing tips and advice for job-seeking across all disciplines/industries.

All of the consultants and managers in our Melbourne office had an active part to play in the day, the students who we met were extremely engaging and had a lot to contribute towards discussions and in all activities.

‘Ambition Uncovered’ presents a real opportunity for our business to support the communities and educational system that does the work in producing the next generation workforce, with the Beacon Foundation committing to ensuring as many young people as possible get a great start and on an equal footing when entering the employment market.
