About the Opportunity:

I'm partnering exclusively with the hiring manager of a highly respected ASX-listed organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Financial Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a pivotal, technically focused role within a collaborative finance team, lead 2 direct reports and support a business with operations spanning agriculture, manufacturing, and corporate environments.

This full‑time onsite position is based in Southbank, with occasional travel required to regional Victorian sites (in the west and North-west).

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Lead key elements of month‑end and year‑end close, including journals, reconciliations, and group consolidations.
  • Deliver accurate statutory and management reporting aligned with IFRS and ASX obligations.
  • Support external audit activities, including preparing technical accounting papers.
  • Contribute to tax compliance requirements, including BAS and FBT.
  • Partner with operational leaders to provide meaningful financial analysis and insights.
  • Manage financial reporting tools (including scheduled Power BI reporting) and drive process improvements.
What You'll Bring:
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline.
  • CA or CPA qualification.
  • Strong technical accounting capability with expertise in IFRS.
  • Experience in a Big 4 or mid‑tier environment (highly regarded).
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills. Collaborate with operations at other sites and build strong relationships.
  • High integrity, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
