Senior Financial Accountant

Leading national business with a robust presence across the country is recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant.

This newly created role will see you play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end financial accounting function. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial statements.

This role offers a unique opportunity for professional growth, with the potential to evolve into a Finance Manager position in the future.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform and review intercompany reconciliations for multiple entities.
• Oversee and manage the complete accounting function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with external auditors during year-end audits, providing necessary documentation and support to facilitate a smooth audit process.
• Work closely with external tax consultants to ensure compliance and accuracy in tax reporting and planning.
• Conduct comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations and resolve any issues to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Skills:

• CPA/CAANZ
• Big 4 /Mid-Tier background with a minimum of 1 year's post experience in a commercial environment
• Strong communicator with the ability to identify process improvements
• Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in ERP systems such as SAP/NetSuite or Oracle
• Advanced Excel skills
