Corporate Actions Analyst - Financial Services

We're partnering with a leading global financial institution seeking an experienced Corporate Actions Analyst to join their Business Services Operations (BSO) team. This position plays a key role in supporting both Australian and New Zealand markets, working closely with onshore client managers and offshore processing teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery for custody clients.

About the Role

As a Senior Corporate Actions Analyst, you'll be responsible for researching, assessing and processing a wide range of equity and fixed‑income corporate action events - including more complex scenarios. You'll take ownership of tasks, demonstrate strong analytical thinking, and thrive in an environment with tight deadlines and high attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and interpret corporate action events to deliver clear, accurate notifications to clients across AU & NZ markets.
  • Process and reconcile events, reviewing work completed by colleagues to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Apply and validate internal controls, including completing risk sign‑offs.
  • Coordinate workloads across the broader team, including offshore partners.
  • Manage complex client and internal queries, providing well‑reasoned, client‑focused solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes or strengthen controls, and work with technology teams on enhancements.
  • Assess new or unfamiliar scenarios using a risk‑based approach to determine next steps.
  • Support training across the team and guide colleagues through complex events.
  • Complete monthly control assessments and contribute to the organisation's wider risk framework.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors as required.

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in financial services, with solid exposure to corporate actions processing.
  • Strong understanding of corporate action events across the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field, or relevant professional experience.
  • Strong problem‑solving ability, excellent attention to detail and a proactive, delivery‑focused approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
