GM Finance Operations

Listed multi-entity organisation is recruiting for a GM Finance Operations.

My client is seeking an accomplished finance leader to take ownership of operational finance across a dynamic, multi-entity business. This pivotal role will oversee the end-to-end management of core financial processes, systems, and teams, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.

As General Manager - Finance Operations, you will lead a broad remit including transactional finance, payroll, shared services, procurement, and sales support across a $300m turnover business. You will drive operational excellence, embed best practices, and partner closely with senior stakeholders to deliver strategic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage operational finance functions including Payroll, Shared Services, Project Accounting and Procurement and Sales support. (4 direct reports, 25 indirect)
• Oversee end-to-end processes such as procure pay and sale to cash
• Ensure compliance and governance across all financial operations.
• Manage and optimize finance systems and workflows, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Partner with business leaders to provide insights, reporting, and operational support.
• Support integration of new acquisitions into finance systems and processes.
• Drive efficiency, cost reduction, and process enhancements across all activities.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing hands-on support and coaching.

Skills & Experience

• CA/CPA qualified essential
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior leadership role with a strong track record of managing finance operations.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes and controls.
• Experience managing large teams and complex workflows.
• Advanced systems knowledge with a strong understanding of system driven workflows and dependencies.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to drive change and deliver measurable improvements.
