Financial Controller

A global organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team on a 12-month fixed term contract, with strong potential to transition to a permanent role.

You'll lead the finance function and manage a team of six, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement across all accounting activities. This includes financial reporting, audits, budgeting, and forecasting, while implementing robust internal controls and optimising cash flow. Acting as a strategic partner, you'll provide insights to senior management and support the CFO in financial planning and analysis.

• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close, statutory reporting, and external/internal audits.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage tax obligations including Income Tax, FBT, Transfer Pricing, and governance requirements.
• Lead SOX compliance, including documentation, testing, and audit engagement.
• Implement process improvements and system enhancements, leveraging Dynamics 365 (D365).
• Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights and strategic support.

• CA/CPA qualified with 10+ years' experience in corporate finance.
• Proven leadership experience managing large teams.
• Strong technical knowledge across accounting, tax, and compliance.
• Hands-on approach with excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is essential.
