Financial Controller

A global organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join the team on a 12 month fixed term contract, with a genuine view to becoming permanent.

This is a hands on leadership role where you will lead the finance function and manage a team of six. You will be responsible for maintaining strong financial control, overseeing reporting, audits, budgeting, and forecasting, while driving process improvements and cash flow discipline.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will provide clear, practical financial insight and partner with the CFO across planning and analysis.

• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close, statutory reporting, and external/internal audits.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage tax obligations including Income Tax, FBT, Transfer Pricing, and governance requirements.
• Lead SOX compliance, including documentation, testing, and audit engagement.
• Implement process improvements and system enhancements, leveraging Dynamics 365 (D365).
• Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights and strategic support.

• CA/CPA qualified with 10+ years' experience in corporate finance.
• Proven leadership experience managing large teams.
• Strong technical knowledge across accounting, tax, and compliance.
• Hands-on approach with excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Strong systems experience, ideally D365, with involvement in major implementations and user acceptance testing
