Financial Accountant

A well-established global business is recruiting for a Financial Accountant.

This newly created role will give you the opportunity to join a reputable business with a strong staff tenure and growth

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate financial and statutory reporting, supporting compliance, and contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes. This role offers exposure to both domestic and international operations, with opportunities to drive process improvements and collaborate across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial reports and year-end statutory accounts
  • Prepare month-end reporting package
  • Process financial transactions to ensure accurate recognition of revenue
  • Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register, for both Book & Income Tax purposes
  • Variance reporting for actual vs budget, including month end analysis
  • Manage general ledger reconciliations and journal entries
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Prepare monthly BAS return, annual income tax return, FBT, Payroll Tax, ensuring all
    compliance requirements are met.
  • Liaise with external auditors and advisors
  • Assist with process improvements and system enhancements in Excel

About You

  • CA/CPA qualified essential
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a multinational business with US footprint
  • Proficient in SAP
  • Advanced Excel skills (essential)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
