Financial Accountant

A rapidly growing technology company is looking for a Financial Accountant with experience in data analytics tools.

This expanding SME has seen remarkable growth, with a forecasted 40% increase for FY 2025. In this distinctive role, the Financial Accountant will not only manage the monthly accounting cycle but also leverage their data analysis skills to generate insights and reports for both finance and non-financial stakeholders.

The position is ideal for a proactive, analytical individual who excels in process improvement and enjoys taking initiative.

You will join a close-knit team and will be reporting to a very dynamic and supportive Finance Manager. This is the ideal opportunity for an Accountant earlier in their career who is looking to grow and develop.

Duties include:

• Prepare reconciliations for the month-end balance sheet
• Support external audits for year-end and statutory accounts preparation.
• Ensure compliance with indirect taxes, such as GST, PAYG, Superannuation, Payroll Tax, and Workers Compensation.
• Preparing Power BI reports and analysis for non-financial stakeholders
• Handle the monthly payroll process with the external payroll service provider
• Oversee junior accountants work including bank and credit card reconciliation.
• Assisting Manager with ad hoc projects and internal process improvements.

Skills:

• CA/CPA qualified essential
• A minimum of four years accounting experience in a commercial environment
• Experience in Power BI and SQL essential.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Python will also be viewed very favourably.
