Leading infrastructure business in recruiting for a Finance Operations Manager to join their team - Immediate start.

This genuine Temp to Perm role takes ownership of financial operations across a complex, large scale joint venture. It suits someone who has led operational finance teams, works well in a fast moving environment, and brings experience from major infrastructure businesses with a minimum turnover of $300m. The path to permanency is clear and the role carries real influence.


The Finance Operations Manager leads a lean, capable team and takes full control of the general ledger, trial balance, and financial reporting. You will keep core processes running across AP, Payroll, Procure to Pay, and Billings, while tightening controls and improving how information flows through the business. The work is hands on and requires strong judgment, a steady leadership style, and the confidence to work closely with senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Run end to end financial operations including AP, payroll, journals, Procure to Pay, and Billings
  • Hold full ownership of the general ledger and trial balance
  • Prepare and review monthly management reports and JV partner packs
  • Keep governance tight across audit requirements and JV obligations
  • Manage cashflow forecasting and improve payment cycles
  • Drive system and process improvements across all finance platforms
  • Lead and develop a small team across core operational finance roles
  • Review reconciliations and ensure month end closes cleanly and on time
  • Strengthen internal controls and maintain high financial integrity
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Partner with operations to solve issues, improve workflow, and lift accuracy

About you:

  • CA or CPA qualified
  • T10 + years in finance and accounting with strong operational finance leadership
  • Background from a large infrastructure/construction/JV
  • Strong technical accounting capability and a hands-on approach
  • Proven experience leading people and developing teams
  • Strong ERP and Excel skills, with Jobpac will be advantageous.
