Well established SME-construction business is recruiting for a Finance Manager.

This is a hands-on, office-based role suited to a self-starter who thrives working autonomously and enjoys being across all aspects of finance operations.

As the Finance Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end financial reporting and play a key role in shaping the financial health and strategy of the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and ownership in their role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and sustainability.
  • Manage the company's budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Prepare and analyse financial reports to provide insights and support decision-making.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee all finance operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
  • Review and improve financial processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements and other key financial documents.
  • Administer payroll for approximately 10 staff, handling straightforward wage calculations.
  • Ensure compliance with BAS, GST, and PAYG obligations.

About You:

  • CA/CPA qaulified
  • Proven experience in a similar finance role, ideally within an SME construction environment.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of finance functions.
  • A minimum of 7 years experience combined with people management
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in CHEOPS
