Finance Manager

We are working with a leading technology and advisory services group to recruit a Finance Manager.

The company has experienced rapid growth, with a 36% increase in revenue over the past financial year, driven by significant acquisitions. As a result of an internal promotion, the client is now seeking a Finance Manager for one of its divisions, overseeing the complete accounting function for a subsidiary with a $30 million turnover.

The ideal candidate will come from a professional services or Big 4 background and have the ability to engage confidently with a variety of stakeholders.

Please note this role is based in Canberra. Only candidates with full working rights in Australia and relevant local experience will be considered for this role.

Duties include:

• Half and Full year statutory reporting
• Compile monthly management accounting group reporting for the business
• Calculate and monitor AASB15 compliance
• Budget preparation for operations and detailed fortnightly forecast
• Preparing and compiling BAS reporting
• Identify enhancements for current processes, such as implementing a cloud-based system for lease-based accounting and migrating ERP systems.
• Month end journal entries for management accounts

About you:

• CPA or CA qualified essential
• Preference will be given to candidates from professional services Big 4/Second tier
• Strong communication skills
• Exposure to large ERP systems such as SAP/Oracle/NetSuite or MS Dynamics
• Advanced Excel
