Finance Manager

Finance Manager role available at a leading creative and advertising agency in the Inner-West.

This role will see join an award winning creative and digital agency working with some of Sydney most prestigious brands. The Finance Manager will oversee the corporate and statutory reporting, manage one Senior Accountant, and collaborate closely with the external accountancy partner.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of transactional accounting to trial balance
• Review and distribute monthly management reports
• Maintain balance sheet accounts & review monthly reconciliations
• Prepare annual financial accounts
• Prepare annual tax data and FBT returns (with external accountants)
• Manage cash flow (oversee collections, weekly cash forecasts)
• Review and finalise monthly income recognition
• Work with Senior Accountant to focus collections efforts
• Approve weekly creditor payments
• Manage bank accounts - (invest excess funds, control intercompany transactions)
• Manage overheads to agreed budgets; prepare monthly variance analysis
• Review client contracts; provide advice to Business Heads on amendments
• Prepare quarterly BAS and ATO remittance
• Manage company insurances
• Liaise with external accountants and other professional advisers
• Manage banking and legal relationships

Skills:

• CA/CPA qualified.
• Preference will be given to candidates from an advertising/creative industry background
• Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Managerial experience preferred
• Experience with Xero is regarded but not essential.
