Finance Manager

Leading organisation providing quality education to more than 45 000 students across Sydney is recruiting for a Finance Manager.

You will join a team of dedicated professionals working on ensuring compliance and maintaining financial controls across the business. This pivotal role will see you do monthly reporting and mitigate potential financial risks.

The successful candidate with have experience in a large volume driven organisation preferably from an education or not for profit environment.

Duties include:

• Develop, implement, and maintain financial risk/control frameworks
• Measure and report compliance on government funding and education act.
• Preparation of the BAS monthly
• Preparation of FBT on an annual basis
• Ensuring compliance with ABS reporting.
• Maintaining related party registers
• Act as the mentor by providing subject matter expertise to team members on compliance or regulatory issues and matters.
• Support the organisational values

Skills:

• CPA/CA qualified
• Preference will be given to candidate from an NFP/Education or government institution
• Previous report writing and presentation skills.
• Experience in preparation of BAS, FBT, ABS surveys, related party registers and annual financial reporting, particularly compliance with IFRS reporting.
• Previous experience in large ERP systems (Technology 1, SAP, Oracle)
