Finance Manager

Finance Manager role at a technology start-up in the heart of the CBD.

The company specialises in technology support for B2B transactions and have established strong relationships with some of Australia's biggest retailers.

Reporting to the CEO this role will see you take ownership of the operational finance for the business to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial results.

The role will suite candidates from an SME-environment who is looking for an opportunity to join an innovator in technology development.

Duties include:

• Ownership and responsibility for the financial accounting and reporting
• Preparing monthly and annual cashflow forecasts, including monthly cash burn analysis
• Timely and accurately meet all statutory filing obligations (corporate tax returns, GST
• returns, annual statutory accounts, etc).
• Daily funding of receivables
• Payroll reporting
• Managing banking relationships
• Review annual tax returns and prepare R&D submissions
• Review month-end close and finalisation of month end financial reports
• Management of external bookkeeper and transition to in house

Skills:

• CA/CPA qualified
• Understanding of advanced accounting and regulatory issues
• A minimum of 1-year managerial experience
• Knowledge of capital raising will be beneficial
• Preference will be given to candidates from a start-up/SME/leasing environment

The company is in the heart in the heart of the cbd and offers flexible wfh opportunities after the initial two months. The CEO is a strong leader with extensive experience in the start-up space and there is also an external CFO consultant in the office two days a week.
