Finance Business Partner

An expanding international services group - operating multiple Australian sites and growing rapidly through acquisitions - is seeking a proactive Finance Business Partner to join the local finance team.

This is a hands-on commercial role created to strengthen financial governance and support integration of newly acquired businesses.

The role suits a hands-on, proactive individual who thrives on turning data into actionable insights, identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving practical solutions in collaboration with finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders to provide timely financial insights and commercial advice.
• Own preparation and review of monthly management accounts with clear commentary and KPI analysis.
• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts for the Australian business.
• Build and monitor non-financial KPIs, linking operational performance to financial outcomes.
• Support capital expenditure appraisals and business case modelling for acquisitions.
• Improve financial controls, reporting cadence and process efficiencies.
• Assist with post-acquisition integration activities, including on-site support as required.
• Partner with operational leaders to translate financial results and P&L performance into clear, actionable insights that drive better business decisions.
• Collaborate with finance counterparts in other regions and with operational teams locally.

Skills:

• CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years' experience in finance business partnering or senior management reporting.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Advanced Excel modelling and experience with ERP/reporting systems, adaptable to different platforms.
• Self-starter who works well independently and as part of remote, cross-border teams.
• Experience with business partnering role.
