Finance Business Partner

A successful and rapidly growing ASX-listed business with a national presence is expanding its finance team.

Driven by continued strategic acquisitions and sustained performance, the organisation is now looking to appoint a Finance Business Partner to support its next phase of growth.

In this role will partner closely with senior finance leaders to support both day-to-day financial operations and long-term strategic performance.

Initially, your focus will be on core finance functions-transactional support, compliance, and month-end reporting. As the integration matures, your responsibilities will grow to include deeper business partnering, strategic analysis, and financial oversight.

Duties include:

• Manage and review financial operations, outputs, and reporting
• Own the month-end close process, including:
• Journal preparation and ledger maintenance
• P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
• Revenue recognition and WIP/deferred revenue reviews
• Intercompany loan reconciliations
• Budget vs. actual variance analysis
• Financial reporting packs
• Monitor cash flow and working capital
• Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting process
• Present monthly results and insights to senior stakeholders
• Provide clear explanations of variances, trends, and forecasts
• Collaborate with management and project teams to evaluate project profitability
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
• Support internal and external audit activities
• Maintain strong internal controls and financial processes
• Prepare data for compliance reporting (e.g., BAS, payroll tax)

About you

• CA/CPA qualified or near completion
• Solid understanding of Australian tax and compliance requirements
• Proven experience with financial systems such as Oracle/MS Dynamics/Xero
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong business relationships
• A proactive mindset and a drive for continuous improvement
