Finance Business Partner

Job description

An infrastructure giant at the forefront of renewable energy is looking for a Finance Business Partner to join their team.

The business works on multi-billion-dollar projects supporting the shift in Australia from coal to renewable energy source. The Finance Business Partner will be supported by three Senior Analysts and will oversee the standard day to day business operations for the renewable's infrastructure, property, and procurement portfolios.

The role requires a strong FBP with extensive exposure to opex and capex management with the ability to engage with stakeholders and do executive reporting.

Duties include:

  • Review and oversee monthly business reviews, forecast, annual budget and strategic 5-year business plan
  • Taking ownership of capex and opex dashboards through detailed analysis, insight and decision support.
  • Provide decision support in delivering commercial outcomes to the property, supply chain and governance functions
  • Report and present divisional spend activity of and variances to budget across various portfolios to the executive team
  • Driving BI analytics insuring data integrity
  • Prepare budget packs and present during group executive and board budget review meetings
  • Working closely with Program Managers and drive business to reduce costs
  • Advise and update Financial Governance and Compliance policies and procedures for Management Reporting and general Accounting matters
  • Identify and execute process improvement opportunities in finance partnering, analytics and reporting
  • Review the financial implications of existing and upcoming projects and initiatives

Skills:

  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Strong preference will be given to candidate from a construction/ infrastructure or telecoms background
  • Power BI reporting
  • Strong experience in capex and opex reporting upwards of $400m
  • Management experience essential
  • Strong business partnering experience with the ability to present to senior management
