Due to continued growth in Australia, our client is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join a dynamic and fast-paced finance team.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the execution of acquisition strategies, working alongside senior leaders and external stakeholders on a high-growth pipeline.
You'll play a pivotal role in evaluating acquisition opportunities by conducting detailed financial analysis, preparing valuations, and presenting strategic recommendations to executive decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse financial, operational, and market data of acquisition targets to assess risks, returns, and overall business value
- Build robust financial models, including valuations, scenario analysis, and forecasting
- Prepare clear and concise presentation materials for senior leadership and board meetings
- Support Acquisition Directors and senior stakeholders on deal structuring, pricing, and transaction terms
- Liaise with external advisors and assist in reviewing due diligence reports
- Conduct market research, including competitive positioning and market share analysis
- Monitor the acquisition pipeline and support the project management of live deals
- Track post-acquisition performance and assist in deferred consideration analysis
- Maintain databases of historical transactions, financial models, and deal metrics
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, tax, legal, and operational teams to ensure smooth execution of acquisition activities
- Assist with ad hoc financial projects and process improvement initiatives
About You:
- CA/CAANZ qualified essential
- Skilled in financial modelling, forecasting, and business valuation
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities, with the ability to manage and communicate complex data effectively
- Exceptional analytical skills and high attention to detail
- Confident communicator, with the ability to present findings to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Organised, adaptable, and thrives in a deadline-driven environment
- Commercially curious, with an interest in market trends and industry developments
- Collaborative and team-oriented, able to support a range of stakeholders across the business
