Our client is looking for an Equity analyst to join their team. You will work closely with senior analyst and traders to identify promising investment opportunities. Your role will involve conducting detailed analysis at both the country and sector levels, and providing timely insights as new information emerges throughout the trading day. You'll be tasked with uncovering opportunities that others might miss, either by discovering new data or reinterpreting existing information. This position offers a unique blend of quantitative finance and creative problem-solving to develop trade ideas in a dynamic proprietary trading environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive research on market trends and economic indicators
• Develop and present investment strategies based on data analysis
• Monitor and report on portfolio performance
• Collaborate with traders to optimize investment decisions
• Provide timely updates and forecasts on market movements
• Analyze financial statements and company reports
• Attend industry conferences and networking events

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis or investment research
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, with distinction average WAM.
• Experience with financial modelling and data analysis tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Familiarity with equity markets and trading platforms
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proactive and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
