About the Role

As the Head of Applications (ERP), you will be responsible for the strategic, operational, and technical leadership of the organisation's enterprise application ecosystem. You'll steer an end‑to‑end ERP program, from early discovery and vendor selection through to design, integration, data migration, deployment, and post‑go‑live optimisation.

You will work closely with the CIO, executive stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams to enable business transformation through a contemporary, scalable applications environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the enterprise ERP strategy, roadmap, and delivery.
  • Drive end‑to‑end ERP program execution, from requirements definition through to post‑implementation stabilisation.
  • Manage vendor selection processes, RFPs, evaluation, and contract negotiation.
  • Oversee systems integration, architecture decisions, and application lifecycle management across the organisation.
  • Lead data migration strategy, data quality governance, and environment readiness.
  • Develop and manage application teams, including business analysts, system admins, and support functions.
  • Establish best‑practice application governance, change control, and release management.
  • Engage executive stakeholders, translating business needs into solution design.
  • Ensure application reliability, scalability, and security while driving continuous improvement.
  • Drive adoption and change management to maximise business value.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience leading large‑scale ERP implementations (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, Workday, or similar).
  • Strong background in enterprise applications leadership, ideally within complex environments.
  • Demonstrated capability in vendor selection, contract negotiation, and third‑party management.
  • Deep knowledge of data migration, data governance, integrations, and application architecture.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills-including executive‑level communication.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a track record of delivering major technology programs on time and within budget.
  • Ability to build and lead high‑performing teams through transformation.
