About the Business

This is a newly created role within a fast-growing insurance distribution group. The business is currently undergoing a finance system transition and operating across two platforms, which has increased the workload within the trust accounting function. To support this, they are seeking an additional Trust Accountant to join the team.


The Opportunity

This role is focused on supporting the trust accounting team during a system migration period. It's a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys structured work, problem-solving, and working independently. The role is ideal for someone with experience in insurance broking finance who is looking to grow within a dynamic and expanding business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily trust account reconciliations across two finance systems
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between platforms
  • Maintain accurate records in line with internal and regulatory standards
  • Support the trust accounting team with system transition tasks
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations

Note: This role does not involve handling distributions or payments


About You

You're someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment and enjoys solving problems independently. You're comfortable working with financial systems and can quickly adapt to new processes.

Ideal experience includes:

  • Prior exposure to trust accounting systems (training provided if needed)
  • Experience in insurance broking or similar financial environments
  • Titles such as Assistant Accountant, Trust Administrator, or Accounts Administrator are highly relevant
  • Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
