Technical Consultant - Guidewire ClaimCenter (Developer)

We're looking for a Technical Consultant with strong Guidewire ClaimCenter development experience to help deliver high-quality claims solutions for insurance clients. In this role, you'll work alongside business analysts, functional consultants, and other engineers to design and build scalable ClaimCenter solutions that support end-to-end claims management.

This is a hands-on technical position suited to someone who enjoys solving complex problems and building robust enterprise systems.


What You'll Be Doing

ClaimCenter Development

  • Design and build custom solutions within Guidewire ClaimCenter using Gosu, PCF, and Guidewire APIs

  • Configure and extend ClaimCenter including data models, rules, workflows, and UI components

  • Develop integrations with internal and external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, messaging frameworks, and batch processes

  • Create reusable technical components aligned with Guidewire development best practices

Technical Design

  • Contribute to solution design and technical architecture discussions

  • Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical solutions

  • Ensure solutions are secure, performant, and maintainable

Testing & Delivery

  • Perform unit and integration testing

  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and defect resolution

  • Assist with deployments across development, testing, and production environments

Collaboration

  • Work closely with functional consultants, QA teams, and business stakeholders

  • Provide technical guidance to junior developers where required

  • Support ongoing improvements and troubleshooting in production environments


What We're Looking For

Technical Experience

  • Strong development experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter

  • Proficiency in Gosu programming

  • Experience building PCF UI components and ClaimCenter configurations

  • Understanding of the Guidewire data model, rules engine, and workflow framework

  • Experience integrating systems using REST, SOAP, messaging, or batch interfaces

  • Familiarity with Guidewire Studio, debugging tools, and GUnit testing

  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle or SQL Server)

  • Experience using Git/SVN and CI/CD pipelines

Industry Knowledge

  • Understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance claims processes

  • Experience working on ClaimCenter implementations, upgrades, or enhancements
