Systems Engineer
Sydney - Permanent position

This is a hands-on Systems Engineer position offering genuine autonomy, exposure to projects and new initiatives, and the opportunity to strengthen your security capability in a business that has a clear strategy. You'll work closely with a supportive leader who empowers engineers to make decisions, contribute ideas, and take ownership across infrastructure and systems design.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and support core infrastructure including Windows Servers, data centres and Active Directory
  • Deliver infrastructure upgrades, system improvements and new initiatives across the environment
  • Provide 3rd line support and act as an escalation point where required
  • Design and implement solutions across Azure AD and Microsoft 365
  • Configure and manage Microsoft Defender and contribute to Azure security and identity initiatives
  • Support and enhance Intune and DLP policies across the business
  • Assist with remediation activities following security assessments
  • Contribute to monitoring, patching and ongoing system optimisation

Experience required:

  • Proven experience as a Systems Engineer managing Windows Server environments, Azure and Microsoft 365
  • Good knowledge of Active Directory and hybrid identity environments
  • Familiarity with Defender, Intune, and DLP policies
  • Exposure to security practices and frameworks
  • Comfortable working autonomously on projects while supporting the wider team when required
