Senior Project Accountant Canberra

I am partnering with a well-known manufacturing brand in looking for a Senior Project Accountant to assist them in various finance-related projects both local and overseas.

This would suit candidates who has previous experience in managing various projects in a manufacturing industry environment and working with different stakeholders. Ideally immediately available or with short notice.

PLEASE NOTE: The role is based in Canberra and requires Australian Citizenship

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the CFO, the projects you will look after are high-value both local and overseas. It will be a mix of short-term and long-term projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development of Project Costing methodology in support of and with the project management team
• Cost alignment
• Cost of revenue restatement
• Resolution of acquisition activities
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare supporting work papers/business case for impairment analysis
• Budget phasing and re-alignment activities
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and ensure compliance with financial controls, policies, and procedures.

ABOUT YOU

• Relevant Bachelor's degree with relevant CPA/CA qualification
• Strong analytical skills and a natural approach to financial/cost accounting and reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and large data sets
• Collaborative team player with the flexibility to adapt in a changing environment.
