Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Network & Core Services
Sydney based / Permanent role
I'm partnering with a long-standing client to hire a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to modernise and secure their core tech environment. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who still enjoys being in the detail, thrives on designing and securing infrastructure, and brings deep knowledge across on-premise, cloud and network platforms.

Responsibilities include:
- Designing and maintaining the organisation's core infrastructure services with a strong security lens
- Driving improvements across identity and access, secure network architecture and system configurations
- Leading the technical delivery of infrastructure projects (migrations, upgrades, integration)
- Acting as a senior escalation point and SME across Windows Server, networking, backup/DR, and authentication
- Contributing to the documentation, life cycle management, and disaster recovery planning
- Supporting the adoption of zero-trust principles and secure connectivity across sites and platforms
What we're looking for:
- 6+ years' experience as an Infrastructure Engineer including 3 years in a senior/architectural role
- Experienced with Microsoft technologies such as AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP, Azure AD
- Strong understanding of authentication protocols
- Experienced with a secure network environment such as VPNs, VLANs, firewalls, routing, switching
- Good understanding of disaster recovery, backup processes, and ensuring systems stay online across on-prem and cloud environments.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as Essential Eight or CIS Benchmarks
