Senior Financial Reporting Accountant - 8 Month Contract

Join a leading ASX-listed infrastructure organisation operating critical energy assets across Australia in a long-term contract role with an immediate start through to October 2026.

This position offers genuine executive exposure and the opportunity to take ownership of complex financial reporting, performance insights and process improvement within a high-performing finance team.

The Role:

You will be a key part of a high-performing finance team, responsible for delivering accurate, insightful, and best-practice financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing high-quality internal and external reporting, including variance analysis, ASX disclosures, Board papers, Annual Report and investor materials
  • Analysing financial performance and key metrics, including dentifying trends, root causes and performance drivers
  • Partnering with senior leaders to deliver meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making
  • Supporting external audit processes and ensuring strong governance and compliance
  • Driving continuous improvement across reporting, analytics, systems and controls
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships across Finance and the broader business

You will bring:

You are technically strong, commercially minded, and confident engaging senior stakeholders.

  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Experience in financial reporting within a large, complex organisation
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and ASX external reporting requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex financial data and present clear, actionable insights
  • Experience supporting audit processes and maintaining robust governance and control frameworks
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process optimisation and efficiency
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across teams
