Senior Financial Accountant

We're seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join a leading insurance business. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic initiatives. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and regional teams while enjoying a flexible hybrid work model.

Due to the upcoming changes in the team's structure this role would offer a clear pathway to becoming a Finance Manager in the near future

• Manage month-end and quarter-end close, including consolidation and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review statutory financial statements under AASB and IFRS.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of APRA and ASIC regulatory reports.
• Oversee GL reconciliations, tax reporting, and annual audit processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and provide insights to non-financial stakeholders.
• Drive process improvements and assist with strategic projects.

• CA/CPA qualified with 5-8 years' experience in statutory accounting and taxation.
• Strong knowledge of APRA reporting requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in insurance or financial services preferred; Big 4 background a plus.
• Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
