Senior Databricks Engineer

Working with a global insurance giant, we are looking for for a skilled senior/lead Data Engineer that specialises in Databricks. This client is in the midst of a large scale data migration and Databricks build from the ground up. Many of their assets are still on prem and looking to utilise a full data lake with medallion architecture.

I am looking for someone that has experience in cloud data platform builds in the past, coupled with technical expertise around Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Power Platform. As this is a senior position, this person will need to work with various stakeholders across the business to understand business requirements and then translate these for the engineers in the team to build.

Skills & Experience:

• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate
• Experience in large scale cloud migrations in Azure/Databricks
• Ability to design and devlop data pipelines in Databricks, Spark, Python.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry would be a plus.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as IFRS 9 or IFRS 17.
