Property Accountant

Job description

We are partnered with a property organisation based in the CBD, who are seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join their business on a 5 month contract to cover long service leave. The successful candidate must be available to start within 1 week to be considered for the role.

To apply, candidates must have at least 3-4 years of industry accounting experience and there is a strong preference for those who have worked within the property industry.

Duties include:

  • Maintain end to end finances for client property portfolio
  • Daily reconciliations
  • Verification of invoices for payments
  • Monitoring reviewing and forecasting cash flow requirements
  • Preparation of month end
  • Preparation of BAS reports and GST requirements
  • Annual financial report preparation
  • Engagement with auditors - prepare audit file
  • Preparation of tax return

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA or CA qualification
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Property industry experience is highly regarded
