Manager, Loan Servicing - Private Credit

The Opportunity

Our client is a leading Australian non-bank lender specialising in commercial real estate finance. With a growing and increasingly sophisticated loan portfolio, they are seeking an experienced Loan Servicing Manager to lead and elevate their Loan Servicing function.

This is a newly created, hands-on leadership role responsible for managing the full loan lifecycle across a diversified and expanding portfolio. The successful candidate will combine deep technical servicing capability with strong people leadership and operational discipline.

The Role

You will take ownership of end-to-end loan servicing operations, from settlement through to full repayment and discharge. Working closely with Credit, Origination, Finance and Trust teams, you will ensure accurate execution, robust controls, and seamless portfolio management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the full loan servicing lifecycle, including settlements, variations, extensions, reviews, partial and full discharges
  • Coordinating closely with internal stakeholders to validate funding, manage loan conditions, support watchlists and recovery processes
  • Overseeing settlement execution and ensuring all lifecycle events are processed accurately and efficiently
  • Maintaining data integrity across internal and external servicing systems
  • Managing daily collections reconciliations and direct debit administration
  • Monitoring arrears, engaging borrowers where required, and supporting default and recovery workflows
  • Coordinating monthly reporting cycles and responding to audit and due diligence requests
  • Overseeing external servicing providers to ensure performance, compliance and reporting standards are met
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing scalable operational solutions
  • Ensuring full compliance with AML obligations across servicing activities

This role operates in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment and requires a diligent, detail-oriented leader who thrives under pressure.

Team Leadership

As Loan Servicing Manager, you will lead, develop and mentor a team of Loan Servicing Officers. You will:

  • Recruit, train and coach team members
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and set clear objectives
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance
  • Manage interpersonal challenges constructively
  • Rebuild and maintain strong working relationships across the broader business

About You

You will bring:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in loan or portfolio management within a bank or non-bank commercial real estate lender
  • Proven experience managing teams in a high-pressure servicing environment
  • Strong understanding of the full loan servicing lifecycle
  • Solid commercial finance and real estate credit knowledge
  • Advanced Excel capability and strong numerical acumen
  • Experience with AML obligations within a non-bank lending environment
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
