Management Accountant
Job description

This newly created role offers the opportunity to grow with the business and shape its commercial finance function. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will work across multiple teams and functions, turning data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting transactional finance activities including AP, AR, billings, and supplier pricing
- Partnering with sales, marketing, and channel teams to analyse customer spend, revenue streams, and cost centres
- Using data storytelling to uncover trends and communicate insights that drive business performance
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, including inventory pricing
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, with daily exposure to senior leadership
- Reconciling bank statements
- Preparing quarterly BAS and lodgement
- Reconciling balance sheet and preparation of adjustment journals
- Communicating with sales team for daily sales updates and prepare report and analysis by using Excel
- Contacting suppliers and resellers for variances and payments
- Preparing Ad Hoc reports for management board as required

This role suits an inquisitive all-rounder from an SME background who enjoys wearing multiple hats and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable diving into data, asking the right questions, and helping others see the bigger picture.
Essential qualifications and experience:
- CA/CPA qualified
- Minimum 6 years' experience in a similar role
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Xero
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to get involved at all levels
