Job Title: IT Support Officer - Contract
Location: Sydney Inner West (Onsite, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm)
Hours: 40 per week
Contract length: 6 months
Start: ASAP
About the role:
We're seeking a hands-on IT Support Officer to provide frontline end-user computing support for our growing client in Sydney Inner West. You'll be the first point of contact for IT issues, handling a busy queue of calls and tickets while working alongside the wider IT team for escalations. Training and support will be provided in your first week to set you up for success.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the first responder for IT requests via phone and email, and escalate when needed
- Deploy, configure, and support end-user hardware and software across multiple office sites
- Administer user access, permissions, and groups within SharePoint
- Onboard and offboard staff, provisioning accounts, hardware, and desk setups
- Support business initiatives by contributing to IT-related project tasks
- Ensure the IT support queue is well-managed and issues are followed through to resolution
Required experience:
- 2+ years' experience in an IT support/helpdesk environment
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, AD and infrastructure basics
- Supported M365 products such as O365, Sharepoint and exchange.
- Diploma in IT/Computing or relevant industry certifications
- Familiarity with IT Service Desk tools and ticketing processes
- Confident communicator who can work well with colleagues and end users
- A proactive mindset to streamline support tasks and improve service delivery
- Enthusiasm to continuously learn and adapt as technology evolves
