Investment Operations Specialist - Boutique Fund Manager

Job description

My client is a small but growing fund manager who have a newly created role in their Investment Operations team. The successful candidate will have exposure to all areas of the business, including the front office and will work closely with the supportive management team who will look to empower you to ensure that you reach your full potential.



The Position


  • Provide operations support to the investment and sales team.
  • Manage back-office processes including settlement, reconciliation and fund administration & fund reporting.
  • Identify areas of improvement and leverage industry, market and systems knowledge to participate in business improvement projects as a key member of the Investment Operations team.
  • Protect the business from operational risk by actively identifying exposures and seeking to mitigate them.
  • Provide a strong control function by maintaining clean investment data.
  • Build & maintain relationships with key outsourced / third-party providers.



The Candidate



Successful candidates will possess:


  • A comprehensive knowledge of investment operations from a Fund Management, Investment Banking or Superannuation environment.
  • A proven track record of performing above company and self-set targets.
  • A professional attitude with the confidence to take ownership of your work.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with senior business people.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
