Financial Accountant - Grants and Revenue

A well established organisation in the not-for-profit sector is recruiting for a Financial Accountant with extensive revenue recognition experience.

This is a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity with a well-established organisation in the not-for-profit sector, offering a supportive team culture and hybrid working arrangements.

Reporting to the Revenue Accounting Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition across multiple entities. You'll manage month-end processes, oversee grant invoicing, maintain contract registers, and support audit and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage month-end journals, intercompany invoices, and GL reconciliations
  • Oversee revenue transactions and compliance across various programs
  • Maintain aged receivables and track cash inflows
  • Prepare reconciliations for revenue-related balance sheet accounts
  • Support audits and collaborate on ad hoc finance projects
  • Identify process improvements and contribute to a high-performing team

What You'll Bring:

  • CA/CPA qualified or working towards
  • 2+ years' experience in AR and reporting functions
  • Strong understanding of AASB 15
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
