Urgent requirement for an Immediately Available Financial Accountant at a established ASX-listed giant.



Are you a CA or CPA-qualified finance professional with strong technical accounting expertise? We have an exciting contract opportunity (3-6 months) for Financial Accountant to join a high-performing team and support key financial reporting functions.



About the Role

Reporting to the Group Technical Accounting Team, this role will provide technical accounting support, financial advice, and statutory reporting assistance. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, ASX listing rules, and corporate governance requirements, while also supporting financial analysis and internal controls.



Key Responsibilities

  • Financial & Statutory Reporting: Assist in monthly, half-year, and year-end financial reporting, including the preparation of statutory reports and Audit Committee submissions.
  • Technical Accounting & Compliance: Ensure compliance with IFRS, ASX, and Corporations Act requirements, including lease accounting, consolidation, and share-based payments.
  • Audit & Internal Controls: Support external and internal audit requirements, ensuring robust controls and best practices.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process efficiencies in financial reporting and month-end close processes.
  • Business Partnering: Advise key stakeholders on the accounting impacts of transactions and support strategic decision-making.

What We're Looking For

  • CA or CPA qualified, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in finance and accounting.
  • Exposure to M&A's
  • Background in a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm preferred.
  • Experience of consolidation, lease accounting, and share-based payments.
  • Open to a short-term contract (3-6 months) with flexibility to work from home and the office.
