Financial Accountant

Our client, a leading player in the energy sector, is seeking a skilled professional to support their finance team during End of Financial Year.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on contract role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You'll play a key part in ensuring smooth month-end processes, supporting the end-of-financial-year (EOFY) reporting cycle, and assisting with the external audit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end close and reconciliations
• Support EOFY reporting and compliance
• Prepare financial statements and reports
• Provide documentation and respond to queries for the external audit
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Maintain high standards of financial integrity and compliance

About You:

• CA/CPA qualified
• Proven experience in financial accounting within Australia
• Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards, EOFY requirements, and audit processes
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Energy sector experience is a plus, but not essential
