Finance Manager (3month contract)

We are seeking aa Finance manager for a 3 month contract to oversee our accounting operations and drive financial performance. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with a proven track record of autonomously managing month end reporting. This is a unique opportunity where the role is based in their regional NSW office (2 hours from Sydney) for 2 days and is working from home 3 days a week. All travel expenses and accommodation for the 2 days a week are covered.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the company's accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to management for improvement.
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate projections.
• Coordinate external audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to streamline operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
• CA or CPA qualification preferred.
• Strong financial governance experience
• Experience with implementing systems would be advantageous
