Finance Manager

Sydney based company operating in the Healthcare/Medical Devices space is recruiting for a Finance Manager to join their tight knit team. This role will be a 12-month fixed term contract maternity leave cover.

This multinational company is growing rapidly and operates across Australia, New Zealand, and the US.

Reporting to the Manager of Business Services this role will see you lead the finance team while ensuring the long term financial sustainability of the business through prudent financial management.

The role will suit an outgoing and collaborative leader with exceptional stakeholder management that thrives in an SME environment.

Duties include:

• Lead, coach and mentor team members in a way that will promote autonomy
• Coordinate team workflows and establish KPI's to measure effectiveness where necessary
• Create and facilitate an annual personal development plan for all finance staff and conduct quarterly informal reviews
• Manage preparation of annual budgets and financial statements
• Conduct forecasting activities and variance analysis
• Manage the preparation of monthly management reporting (including profit and loss reports, operational dashboards and project analysis)
• Review balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversee compliance with statutory obligations such as tax filings and audits
• Review internal controls for adequacy and efficiency
• Develop strategies to minimise financial risk
• Design, implement, and monitor process improvement projects
• Act as the key escalation point for the finance team, business unit managers and external parties

Skills:

• CA/CPA qualified or relevant business degree
• A minimum of 2-4 years leading teams in a commercial environment
• Proven experience in preparing and analysing financial statements and reports
• Strong problem solving and multitasking abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with SAP highly preferred
