External Auditor

Job description

We are currently recruiting multiple contract opportunities based in Sydney CBD (with hybrid flexibliity) for external auditors with minimum 2 years of experience in external audit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct audits to assess the accuracy of financial statements.
  • Review financial records, reports, systems, and controls.
  • Identify areas of risk within the organization's financial processes.
  • Develop audit strategies to address identified risks.
  • Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and anomalies.
  • Ensure financial statements comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings and recommendations.
  • Communicate audit findings to clients and senior management.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance financial performance and controls.
  • Develop strong relationships with client personnel.

Role requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CA / CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in external audit.
  • This position may require travel to client sites.
