Engineering Manager

Ambition is currently partnered with a Brisbane based Technology startup to recruit an Engineering Manager. They've been around for over five years and are in their next stage of growth.

Overview

Partnered with a USA Tech Giant, they are launching a large project (starting Feburary 2021) and are looking for an Engineering Manager to manage the engineering team's delivery

to product level specifications for worldwide distribution. Open to interstate candidates looking to relocate.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the development team of 7-10 resources
• Managing the engineering tasks, responsibilities, schedule and sprint planning
• Work with Product Manager to deliver to agreed specification, time and budget
• Support team members with professional and personal development
• Provide leadership for Scrum and Agile Development practices
• Release and worldwide distribution of software and firmware

Required Skills and Experience

• Managing technical teams (preferably software and electronics)
• Software integration onto hardware
• Strong understanding of product development from R&D to production
• Deployment of commercial software products to market (B2B or B2C)
• Technical experience including embedded systems/software, Linux, FPGA and high-speed protocols
• Understanding of system architecture
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
