Data Solution Designer

Job Type: Contract (6 months likely extension)

Salary: 750 per day

We are seeking an experienced Data Solution Designer to lead our modern data platform, manage high-performing teams, and drive end-to-end delivery of enterprise analytics solutions. You will define strategy, implement scalable cloud-native data platforms, and partner with business & product teams to enable data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver the enterprise Data & Analytics strategy, quarterly roadmaps, and long-term platform vision.
  • Lead and mentor Analytics Engineers, Data Engineers, BI Developers and Analysts.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Tech teams to align data priorities.
  • Drive governance, data quality, security, platform lifecycle management and FinOps optimisation.
  • Own architecture & operations of Snowflake/GCP/AWS analytics platforms.
  • Oversee ingestion pipelines, ELT/ETL development, modelling and analytics layer design.
  • Implement DataOps, MLOps and Infrastructure-as-Code practices (Terraform).
  • Ensure reliability, scalability, cost-efficiency of the full data stack.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Snowflake, BigQuery or AWS data platforms
  • dbt (Core/Cloud), Fivetran, Segment
  • Data Lake architecture (S3/GCS/ADLS)
  • Streaming (Kafka, Pub/Sub)
  • Terraform / IaC / GitOps
  • Data modelling (star, vault, semantic models)
  • Looker, Tableau or equivalent
  • Experience enabling Data Science teams (Feature Stores, ML pipelines)
