About the Role

As a Data Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the foundations of our client's data infrastructure. Your work will ensure data flows cleanly and reliably, and is accessible to teams across the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and build robust ingestion and transformation pipelines
  • Set up scalable and secure data lakes and warehouses
  • Optimise performance, cost and system reliability
  • Collaborate with data analysts, ML engineers and platform developers

Tools and Tech You'll Work With

The team uses a modern, varied tech stack - you'll have the opportunity to work with and learn tools like:

  • Languages & Frameworks: Python, Spark, Airflow
  • Data Platforms: Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Neo4J
  • Workflow & Infra: dbt, Fivetran, Terraform
  • Cloud Ecosystem: AWS, Azure, GCP

You don't need experience with all of these - just a strong foundation and appetite to grow.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years in data engineering or a related field
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python (or similar technologies)
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or another analytical domain
  • A sharp problem-solving mindset and clear communication style
  • Enthusiasm for learning and exploring new ideas
