Overview
Our client is a leading Entertainment and Hospitality business in NSW who are looking for a passionate and high performing Commercial Analyst looking to step up in their career.
The successful applicant will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrate and the ability to optimize financial performance by identifying process improvements and better revenue returns. The successful candiate will have a proven track record of developing strong stakeholder relationships and providing strategic, financial, and operational support.
Supporting the GM of Commercial Finance, the Commercial Finance Manager will assist Business Units in identifying commercial opportunities, developing analysis and business cases to effect change, and providing expert financial information to drive decision making and strategic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Senior Executives, Senior Managers, Commercial and Operational Teams
- Provide financial analysis and advice to assist Senior Management decision-making
- Provide monthly reporting requirements and analysis
- Prepare business cases identifying commercial opportunities to improve revenue returns or process improvements
- Provide supporting data and analysis for Business Units to help achieve their strategic objectives
- Collate complex data into cohesive and useful information that is easily understood and provides a coherent and informative narrative in regards to financial position and performance
- Support business units with reporting enhancements
- Research and source relevant data both internally and externally to provide trends and/or comparisons
- Providing quantitative and qualitative data
- Drive a culture of maximizing financial outcomes
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- CA or CPA certification
- 5-10 years of experience in Commercial Finance
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, management reporting, and analysis
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing abilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Results-driven and proactive
- Willingness to learn
