Business Intelligence Analyst

Newly created Business Intelligence Analyst role at an expanding & transformative business in the Energy Infrastructure sector.

Reporting to the Digital Finance Manager team you will look after data and reporting governance, data modelling, report development and providing system support to the business.

Duties include:

• Design and implement effective data models to automate & streamline reporting
• Identify reporting necessities by evaluating operations, applications, and workflows
• Maintain and further develop the data and reporting governance framework for the business
• Apply advanced analytics to generate business insights and present
• Create ad-hoc reports and visualisations of data as required (query using a range of methods to source information from corporate data stores and systems in addition to manual collation of corporate information
• Translate business needs into analytics/reporting requirements and provide business context to data technicians and system administrators in Finance to effectively problem solve user issues and requests
• Build and maintain strong relationships with users of reports and systems managed by Finance

Skills:

• Tertiary qualifications in business, finance or systems
• Experience in data extraction, transformation and loading
• Problem solving experience through statistical analysis or with large data sets
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and SharePoint)
• Extensive experience in Oracle/Hyperion/SAP Business Objects and Power BI, with particular speciality in query design
• Experiences working with SQL, M Query, & DAX to derive meaningful insights & Visuals
• Exposure to Data Warehouse, ETL/ELT and Azure will be favourable
