Analytics Business Analyst - Step into a Lead Role

Job description

The Senior Business Analyst is a critical leadership role in supporting evidence-based decision making, performance analytics, service line management and business growth and opportunity. The role focuses on the effectiveness and performance of our services, supporting evidence-based decision making by managers and identifying and delivering key workstreams to meet vision, mission and strategy including those projects with outcomes including improving performance, efficiency and effectiveness and growth in Employment, Disability and Corporate functions.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage a team of Business Analysts

* Provide analytical commercial and policy input into business decisions.

* Undertake financial and commercial assessments for the business.

* Undertake market analysis of competitors, customers, products, industry trends identifying opportunities and drafting and implementing business cases where agreed

* Prepare specialised reports and presentations to management, Board and Committees including performance reports and analysis

* Develop, and report on service, team and functional KPIs

* Develop dashboards consistent with the organisation's strategy and Corporate KPIs

* Development of Business Analytics policies and procedures

* Development of Business Analytics training programs and materials for operations and support functions Organisation/Sector Knowledge

* Maintain sound knowledge of relevant legislative and contractual requirements.

* Understand how the various sectors in our organisation works and are funded, including DSS, DESE and NDIS Planning

* Provide leadership to ensure Towards 2030, Ability Options Strategy is delivered

* In consultation with manager and relevant business units, develop Performance Reporting, analytics and monitoring with analytics identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and service effectiveness

* Identify opportunities to grow, increase revenue and acquire other businesses/services

* Identify an efficiency program and support delivery of it through the appropriate Executive

* Agree the Business Analytics Team's Operational Plans and deliver them Teamwork & Culture

* Demonstrate the Ability Options values in the performance of duties, promoting a positive organisational culture and leadership contribution

Responsible for the performance of a team of Analysts, which may include Business Analysts and Systems Analysts. Decision making is subject to Delegation Policy, relevant legislation, regulations, Ability Options policy and procedure and in conjunction with divisional executive.
