About the Role

Our client, a reputable company in the construction/project management sector, is seeking a skilled Accountant to join their finance team. This role involves overseeing daily accounting functions, managing reporting cycles, and supporting multiple entities with financial compliance and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee Assistant Accountant and Accounts Payables positions
• 
  Update Progress Claim schedule
• 
  Raise tax invoices and upload
• 
  Process credit applications for new suppliers
• 
  Manage workers compensation claims
• 
  Review weekly cash and securities report
• 
  Upload batch payments to Westpac Corporate Online
• 
  Process manual payments including petty cash and COD payments
• 
  Review and post weekly wages to payroll system
• 
  Check subcontractor RCTIs
• 
  Review monthly BAS for multiple entities entities
• 
  Prepare and send rental invoices, applying rate changes per lease agreements
• 
  Review overhead recovery reports
• 
  Prepare cost reports for review
• 
  Post monthly salaries to payroll system
• 
  Review budget reports
• 
  Review quarterly P&L and Balance Sheets
• 
  Review quarterly BAS for multiple entities
• 
  Review and prepare year-end P&L and Balance Sheets for multiple entities

About You

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• 
  CPA/CA qualification or working towards it preferred
• 
  Experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within construction or project management
• 
  Familiarity with CHEOPS, Aconex, and payroll systems (Definitiv preferred)
• 
  Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• 
  Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• 
  Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
