Accountant

Our client who are based in South West Sydney are a dynamic and rapidly growing organization dedicated to the technology industry.

We are looking for a an experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing both financial accounting activities and providing valuable insights through management accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of financial accounting, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial statement preparation.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance to support decision-making processes.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models to assist in strategic planning and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant financial data and provide support for business initiatives.
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CA or CPA Qualified
• Proven experience in financial accounting, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel - pivots, formulas
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
