The company is a leading services business operating within the Health, Community and Aged Care sectors. They are a growing business who have demonstrated that they are nimble enough to continue to thrive within an ever changing landscape. They are currently looking for a Management Accountant to join the team in Sydney's CBD for an 8 month maternity leave contract.

Reporting to the CFO, the primary focus of the Management Accountant role is to support the business with the day to day management of the accounting function. This includes the management and preparation of monthly accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, accounts receivable/payable, and ad-hoc projects. The position will be a diverse and challenging role which offers direct hands-on accounting and management of the business's finance function.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing financial transactions and monthly reconciliations
  • Maintaining the general ledger and managing and maintaining asset registers
  • Managing payroll and procurement
  • Participate in annual budgeting and cash flow forecasting
  • Have active involvement with systems / process improvement and ad-hoc projects
  • Analysis and interpretation of financial information
  • Preparation and distribution of all ad hoc management reporting information to relevant stakeholders
